Based in Marietta, Georgia and serving all of North Georgia, 2nd Battalion of the Georgia State Defense Force prides itself on its professionalism and readiness to serve the citizens of Georgia. We also pride ourselves on being the Battalion of Year the last three years running (2008-2010)! When ordered by the Adjutant General, the GSDF provide an organized, trained, disciplined, rapid response force to assist state and local government agencies, and civil relief organizations in impending or actual emergencies to assure the welfare and safety of the citizens of Georgia.
